This harp is ideal for people who find it uncomfortable to play in the popular upright position. The autoharp was originally meant to be played flat on the lap or on a table but over the years, playing styles have evolved quite a bit, with the majority of players using an upright playing position. Young children or adults with smaller arms often are unable to wrap their arms around the instrument in the upright style.
